c’mon, just look at that scenery.
As stated above, the scenery just knocks your socks off. Who doesn’t want to live in a place where everywhere you look there are mountains?!
Yes, food is #2 on the list. I mean, who doesn’t love some delicious food?! Chattanooga, A.K.A Chatt, A.K.A ‘Nooga; has some awesome food choices.
Do you like Barbecue? Great there is a place for that.
How about Burgers? Awesome! There is a place for that too.
Brunch? Because, that is totally a thing here.
Coffee? Yep, you guessed it! There are several places for that.
Do you want to eat some good ole’ southern cooking?! Well, look no further.
Oh, and not to mention, The Yellow Deli. Yaasssss.
3. Small town atmosphere with a bustling city life:
We’re not necessarily a “big city” but we’re also not a “small town” either. Will you often run into someone you know at one of the 12 Walmart’s? HECK YES. Literally, everybody knows everybody in Chattanooga.
But, just like all “major cities” we do get some rush hour traffic. Not to mention, downtown is really the place to be on the weekends, or heck, even on a weekday. Whatever floats your boat.
Chattanooga is also great for “peeps” who enjoy the outdoors. With several hiking trails and the Tennessee River right out our back door, there is no wonder why Chattanooga was rated the Best Outdoor City by Outdoor Magazine.
I know you are probably wondering why the internet is included in this post but hear me out. Chattanooga was the first city in the world to offer 10 gig internet. Hence why we are called “Gig City.”
6. Land of Opportunities:
Whether you are into tech, entrepreneurship or climbing the ladder at a corporate environment, Chattanooga has you covered. We are small business and entrepreneur friendly ( Like Two Men And A Truck ® for example). With organizations who invest in startups to help promote innovation, like:
The Lamp Post Group a local business incubator.
Causeway, a local nonprofit working to solve Chattanooga’s biggest problems through social innovation.
and Co.Lab, which is a non profit startup accelerator. We are here to make all your tech dreams come true.
Do you have kiddos? Do you want to get them involved in the tech world? Awesome!
7. Summer Sunday’s at the Farmers Market:
Uhm, this pretty much just speaks for itself. The Farmers Market is probably the best summer activity Chattanooga has to offer. Ok — maybe I am over exaggerating, stop judging me. But, in all seriousness, the Farmers Market is free and is a great place to find fresh fruits and vegetables, and there is also a different theme every week.
Great to take the family ( kids included) or even for a super fun first date — if you are into that sort of thing.
Oh yeah, there is also a Saturday Market at the Aquarium, too.
Basically, Chattanooga is just super rad and you should just move here already. Seriously, just do it!
Wait, was that too demanding? Sorry not sorry.
See ya’ll downtown!
Feel free to comment with any other reasons “peeps” should move to Chattanooga.
